Recommending files
With your name on it
A star puts your name on a whole file and says, in public, that it’s worth reading. It’s the closest thing Curie has to a re-share—the one signal here you leave attributed, on purpose.
A shelf others can browse
Everything you star becomes part of a Recommended list on your profile—a curated shelf of the work you think is worth other people’s time. Over time that shelf turns into a record of everything you’ve recommended: a running history of the papers and articles you’ve stood behind. It’s useful to you, as a place to find them again, and to anyone who wants a quick sense of what you care about. Think a Goodreads shelf or a Pinterest board, but for research.
